Company Profile Setup

Company Profile Setup

Your Company Profile section trains MakeMEDIA about your business, expertise, and overall topics you discuss. It's a very easy setup. We'll use your responses to provide article ideas, create a content plan, fine-tune your buyer personas, and build your content outlines. You can update your profile anytime.

About My Company

Aside from your company name and website, tell us what your business does (the highlighted field in the image below). The more detailed your response, the more refined our content recommendations will be. Some examples - be as detailed as you would like:
  1. managed service provider specializing in cybersecurity
  2. b2b marketing agency for fast-growth technology companies
  3. wealth data SaaS platform for nonprofit fundraising

Topics

MakeMEDIA thinks about what your company does and provides a list of potential topics that you can probably talk about. Select the ones you like from the list we generate to add to your profile. You can also add your own (type them in the box and hit Enter to add it to the list).

You'll want to have at least 10 topics to create multiple "content clusters," which is useful for search engine optimization. We'll use these high level topics later on to help you come up with article ideas and to create a detailed content marketing plan for you.

Products and Services

In this section, type in the products and services you provide and hit Enter. We'll use these as anchors to tie what you do to the content you'll be creating. This might be similar to the topics or services you mentioned in prior steps. We added this section to allow more details if you would like to talk about specific products and services. Some examples:
  1. strategic advisory services
  2. SaaS calendar tool
  3. HR management app
  4. marketing consulting services

Market Location

This section is useful if you serve a local market. You can enter your location any way you would like - or leave it unselected if your market is global. Examples:
  1. Washington DC metro area
  2. Manhattan financial district
  3. Cities within a 50-mile radius of Austin TX
  4. United States

Ideal Clients

This is an important field. Your answer here will impact the kind of article outlines we create for your guided interviews. The more specific you are, the more tailored your outlines will be.

For example, instead of "small businesses" but your market is really "owners of professional services small businesses with at least $2 million in annual revenue who do not have an in-house marketing person".

Review

Once you have entered all of your information, we'll display a summary for review. You can click on any of the sections in the profile to make changes.

Your company profile will be used throughout MakeMEDIA.
